Expressions of Interest for 2019 now open

Dear potential kinship and foster care training providers,

We are pleased to announce that Carer KaFE is now opening new round of expression of interest from training as a part of the Victorian Government’s aim to increase learning and development opportunities for kinship and foster carers across Victoria.

The attached guidelines outline a number of key elements, including who we are targeting, preferred training formats, funding requirements and the learning outcomes we want to achieve for carers.

We have reviewed the general learning streams that we aim to delivery across 2019 as well as more specialist topics that will be offered to agencies and scheduled based on interest and need.

As per guidelines, Carer KaFE seeks applications for face to face sessions and online learning that combine multiple learning outcomes.

We are particularly interested in your expertise adding other learning goals to the foundations we have outlines and in innovative new learning and development opportunities to be submitted.

The Key Dates are:

19 October                 Open for submissions

9th November           Submissions closed

19th November         Providers informed of provisionally approved sessions

19th November         Host agencies asked to choose relevant training sessions

Early December         Training providers advised of approved funding and host agency/location matching and scheduling finalised.
