Understanding children and young people with autism (Werribee)

October 23, 2018 until October 24, 2018

This highly interactive workshop provides insight into how people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder understand and interact with their world. The workshop will provide concrete tools for supporting the child or young person in your care. This two part training series is set over an initial two days.

During these sessions you will:

  • understand Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • understand concerning behaviours and their possible meanings
  • learn how to best support and advocate for a child with a medical condition, developmental difference or disability
  • learn about the new National Disability Insurance Scheme and pathways for carers to access additional supports

The dates for the series are Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 October 2018. Please note if you register for the first session it is assumed you will be attending the second unless you specify otherwise by emailing carerkafe@fcav.org.au.
