DESCRIPTION:VACCA Cultural Day – Larni Garingilang Walking Tour by Djaara\, Bendigo \nThis is a free event for carers of Aboriginal children \nDate: Tuesday 12 May \nTime: 9.30AM – 1.30PM (Lunch will be provided) \nLocation: Larni Garingilang Precinct within the Bendigo Botanical Gardens\, Bendigo VIC 3550 \nThe Larni Garingilang Walking Tour in Bendigo\, Victoria\, offers an immersive 1.5–2 hour guided experience through the “Home of Growth” in the Botanic Gardens\, led by Djaara (Dja Dja Wurrung) Traditional Owners. The tour is wheelchair accessible and suitable for limited mobility\, with available seating and rest areas. \nAs a result of participation in this activity\, carers will: \n\nGain greater confidence caring for an Aboriginal child\nHave an increased understanding of Aboriginal culture\, history\, identity\nImprove their ability to support a child’s cultural connection\nGain stronger empathy and understanding of intergenerational impact\nCreate connections with other carers\n\nA $50 digital gift card will be emailed to you after the session to assist with travel and childcare costs. \nThe session is designed for kinship\, foster and permanent carers. \nLink to Event Flyer
