Build practical skills and confidence to support the children and young people in your care to engage safely online while maintaining positive, supportive relationships.
As a result of participation in this 90-minute webinar, carers will:
- Increase their knowledge of current online risks affecting children and young people.
- Recognise indicators of online grooming, cyberbullying and image-based abuse.
- Understand how trauma may influence online behaviour and help-seeking.
- Gain practical strategies to support safer online engagement.
- Develop confidence to have constructive online safety conversations.
- Learn how to access reporting pathways and support services.
- Build skills to respond effectively when online harm occurs.
Evolve’s trainers are trusted eSafety providers with a high level of industry experience and a Bachelor of Education background. They have a background of working in and with schools and acknowledge the unique challenges families currently face in the digital space. They have been providing digital safety and wellbeing programs to Carer Kafe for over 3 years.
The session is designed for kinship, foster and permanent carers.
