Learning and Development Retreat for Carers of First Nations Children

Date: Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 June 2025
Location: Cleveland Estate, Lancefield
Address: 55 Shannons Road, Lancefield

Express your interest in attending a learning and development retreat on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people.

Connect with carers and hear from presenters during an engaging two-day conference program. Catering, all retreat sessions and overnight accommodation will be provided complimentary. A $200 voucher will be provided to carers at the retreat, in recognition of potential travel and childcare costs.

If you are a Victorian home-based permanent, foster or kinship carer of a First Nations child please apply by 3 May 2025 via the Expression of Interest Form. Selection will be via a random ballot with Carer Kafe targets considered. Please note that biological and adoptive parents are not eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to those who have not attended a Carer Kafe Learning and Development retreat in the last 12 months. Carers who have attended a retreat in the last 12 months can still apply. More than one adult member per carer household can apply, however preference will be given to individuals to allow representation from as many carer households as possible.
