As a result of participation in this session, carers will:
- Feel more confident and prepared to navigate the emotional and practical challenges of the holiday season.
- Create a personalised wellbeing plan for their household to support calm, connection, and predictable routines over the holiday period.
- Be equipped with realistic, low-cost strategies to create calm, structure, and moments of connection with children during periods of unstructured time.
- Have greater readiness to respond calmly to children’s big feelings and behaviours linked to change, loss, or family complexity.
- Feel more capable of maintaining care and connection while also protecting their own energy and wellbeing.
- Develop simple plans and routines that help make the holiday period more predictable and manageable for everyone in the household.
- Strengthen their confidence to set and communicate healthy boundaries during a demanding time.
- Leave with renewed clarity, self-compassion, and practical tools to sustain care — for both themselves and the children they support — throughout the holidays.
