Supporting Young People through Anxiety and Emotion-Based School Avoidance

Date: Saturday 29 August

Time: 10.00 AM – 1.00 PM

Location: Online (Zoom)

Presented by: Karen Young

This 3-hour webinar will support carers to understand anxiety and how it contributes to school avoidance, strategies to support greater school attendance, and how to engage the school in a collaborative, ‘wrap-around’ approach to school attendance and why this is important.

There will be time for questions.

This workshop is presented by Karen Young, who began her career as a psychologist in private practice and is now recognised as a leading authority on child and adolescent anxiety. Karen created Hey Sigmund – Building Courage in Kids & Teens With Anxiety, an internationally popular online resource, is the author of 5 books, has appeared on television and radio, and has proven popular in presenting previous Carer Kafe webinars.
