Join Carer Kafe for an enriching two-day Learning and Development Retreat on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
Connect with fellow carers and gain insights from expert presenters through an engaging conference program in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Victorian home-based carers are invited to apply by 7 May 2026 via the Expression of Interest Form below.
Eligibility to attend:
- All carers of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander child (kinship, permanent, foster)
- Carers who have not attended a Carer Kafe Learning & Development Retreat in the past 12 months will be prioritised. However, carers who attended within the last 12 months may still apply in case vacancies occur.
- More than one adult per carer household may apply and separate applications for each adult is required. However, priority will be given to one person per carer household.
- Selection will be based on Carer Kafe targets.
What is included?
- All learning and development sessions
- All meals
- One night’s accommodation (unless distances over 4 hours each way are travelled and an arrangement with Carer Kafe is made)
- A $300 voucher will be provided to carers per household (in recognition of potential travel and babysitting costs) at the close of the retreat. Due to current fuel costs an extra $100 voucher will be provided.
