This workshop has been designed to help carers support the gamer in their life, including children and young people (up to 18 years of age) who are neurodivergent or have a trauma background.
Carers will leave with practical tools to:
- Understand the emotional and developmental needs driving gaming behaviour
- Respond in ways that reduce conflict while increasing safety
- Set healthy, respectful boundaries even in high-emotion moments
- Support digital connection while minimising digital harm
- Engage in open conversations about games, privacy, and peer influence
- Tailor their approach to children with trauma histories or who are neurodivergent
Evolve’s trainers are trusted eSafety providers with a high level of industry experience and a Bachelor of Education background. They have a background of working in and with schools and acknowledge the unique challenges families currently face in the digital space. They have been providing digital safety and wellbeing programs to Carer Kafe for over 3 years.
The session is designed for kinship, foster and permanent carers.
