Time: 10.00 AM – 12.00 PM

Date: Saturday 21 February 2026

Location: Online (Zoom)

Presented by: Lorren Arezio, Clinical Psychologist

By participating in this webinar, you will:

  • Explore the early relational experiences that children and young people in care have had, and how this has impacted their overall development.
  • Understand how this can lead to the development of ‘Blocked Trust’.
  • Understand what Blocked Trust is and how it impacts a child’s ability to accept care and nurturing.
  • Explore what it feels like to care for a child who is in blocked trust and why this feels so hard and draining.
  • Understand what is needed for both carer and child to successfully navigate a path through this.

This webinar is presented by Brisbane based Clinical Psychologist Lorren Arezio. She has worked in the area of relational trauma, child protection and family stress and disruption for over 20 years, providing therapy and support to children, adults and families in both government and private settings. She works from a trauma and attachment lens and is an accredited DDP and PACE Trainer. She is also a wife and mother of 3 now adult children, the youngest of whom was adopted. Lorren brings this combined experience to help children and families to thrive.
